New pitch?

Don’t know if we’re having a new pitch again, but I drove past today and there’s big piles of soil on the bottom car park, I mean hundreds of tons.

Sprinkler system being installed, Moore prefers a fast pitch apparently.

Might just be a top dressing. Silverdale Athletic have it done ever other year and it's frightening how much soil it takes.

Hopefully the fast pitch won’t outrun any of our new signings it already looked faster than our current squad😉

They are upgrading the training pitch so it’s probably for that.

Isn't the main playing pitch due to have work on it for thee summers running to bring it up to scratch? Last year was the first part of a big project.

Yes, year 2 is sprinklers.

One thing I guess we have to say is the decision to get that drainage sorted was absolutely bang on. 

The rain we've had in the last 12 months I think is the worst volume in a long while and the number of games called off for waterlogged pitches has been crazy.

I think without the drainage we'd have been looking like Bradford City or Halifax
