But they are <ovf censored> they are only in the team because we are so bad

It’s only my view obviously but please let Massey leave the club when his contract expires in May and Loft is clearly not for our club and has only scored two goals all season but who would want him; Bristol rovers were glad to get rid of him but can we please and Jones is awful so he can go like sang and lakozetti and grant and I think ikpaezo will move on and sad we won’t see Wilson again and for me smith can go as he has been very poor all season and I worry that Ripley and garretty may leave and the jury is out for me on Ojo as he do look interested after picking up an extended contract but we need a complete refresh

Think it’s time to get rid of this nice club mentality and do a Micky Adams by placing the whole lot on the transfer list and just hope we find some clubs as daft as us to take some of them of our hands!

Next season I want to see some winners who are hard as nails, they don’t have to be nice lads, just lads that show they care and want to win!

Is Carol by any chance a property developer? You could certainly make a good case for it, just another couple of seasons trusting the process and bish bash bosh, 1,000 brand spanking new homes where that team Port Vale used to play before they went out of business.

The talk about the campus, and Synectics maybe expanding (increasing investment, etc) did to some degree made me a little paranoid thinking back to the V2001 and Smurthwaite days (Remember Smurf's flats idea?) Usually people with money - make money. Carol and Kevin are no fools. I only hope that there is no ulterior motive. It may just be a case of making the wrong decisions in recruitment and to a degree being mislead and sold a dream by DF. We will see in the coming months. Talk is cheap as they say, many bridges need to be built imo. Sad and you would never have predicted this back in summer 2022.

I’d keep:

Ripley

Garrity

Chislett

Dipepa / Plant / Walter’s et al from the Academy.

Unfortunately, they’re the players we will most realistically lose.

The remainder of the players need to shoulder a lot of the responsibility for how this season has panned out. I can forgive players not being that good, if they are picked, that’s not on them. But not putting in 100% effort every week, not seemingly caring when we lose and plummet down the league, and not showing an ounce of fight, I can’t forgive.

The majority of these players are in a very privileged position, they earn more than the average fan, and to say play with such a lack of effort is the biggest insult to us, as fans.

Unforgivable (Ripley / Garrity / Chislett / academy graduates aside).

I can see someone paying off Ripley contract and snapping him up... Too good for league two.

Serial loser though.

Sure a few years ago there was a player relegated numerous times with different clubs.

I like Ripley. Bit too emotional and hot headed but playing behind that defence it's no wonder.

Regardless of players, I just want us to scrap this wingback bullshìt formation.
Play with proper wingers and attack and be positive, instead of this dull boring crap and not having a clue what to do when we hit the half way line because we have zero options going forward.
Oh and sign players for those actual positions, instead of signing players and playing them out of position for the entire season. It's suicide.
Totally agree. Whoever comes has to play in their specialist positions. If we're playing 3 at the back 2 wingbacks who can defend. Otherwise a back 4 with 2 proper full backs. 2 strikers not makeshift ones. Given those still under contract if we can't get rid then it has to be 442. If Chislet goes I wouldn't object to Sang playing his role because he can't defend but has some ability
I'm dreading how this is going to go I'm sorry but I've lost faith in the process.

Hes that good that he’s done his best to get in to it two seasons in a row.

The majority of Port Vale supporters should feel proud this season in the way they have superbly supported the club. Supporters have lived up to the name of 'VALIANT ' while sadly the team haven't been able to. Loyal fans have been put through the mill this season, but still came along to cheer and support and spend their money on Port Vale FC.

I can count on one hand the good matches we have witnessed this season, mainly in December. Chizzys late winner in the 3-2  win over Wigan; best game and goal of the season.  I can't remember so many home capitulation for a long time. One home win in 2024 for us, has left many fans traumatised and disbelieving. We can only hope for better things next season and that the players can play for that VALIANT shirt and show us some passion. We'll done Vale fans, at least Nathan Smith has acknowledged that you have been tremendous, even though let down
