3 strikers (Tolaj, Stockley, Dipepa) vying for 1 position feels about right.

So to spend another 6 figure fee on a forward seems a bit overkill? Surely for that money, Paton will want to play (as will Tolaj and Stockley).

Would prefer that being spent on more wide men as we only really have Curtis and Plant as natural wingers. Chislett can play there but not his natural position.

I think history demonstrates 4 strikers is not overkill.

Please let's not go back to the days of Garrity/Tom Pett (4-0 dicking away at exeter) et al as makeshift strikers because the proper 3 were all out injured.

If he is back up central defender there's a good chance of promotion ,I'd be surprised if top 3 if he is a regular as even in league 2 I was squirming at how leaderless he was.

It was only when Legge And Brisley, and then Hall and another were by him ,he was very good then in fairness , however overall as judge on majority of games he is and was  just bang average

You have obviously watched Paton play and we haven't but do you think he could play and score in League 2 for us? he has scored at 2 levels in Scotland so he does seem to be a natural goal scorer..... oh and does he have pace

If we do get him (Paton) I can easily see a 4-3-3 judging from his highlights he seems to like right sided forward position.
