Good point because we would not want him cup tied

I know you were joking me owd fruit but you know what i mean,if as the paper stated Vale were close to completing a deal for Paton then you would expect him not to play incase of injury?

Attack is best form of defence.

If get Paton and a proper defender by side of Hall,a new player a leader also a player who wins a high percentage of knock down in other teams boxes there's no reason why we cannot finish very highly .

I think we has a billion balls put in one season with Worrall and the defenders seemed to mostly get them away .

We need win headers in oppositions box .

If we do we will have a very good campaign

I would of loved Flint at Vale, did a good job at Mansfield it seems. Didn't Moore take him on loan at Sheff Wed?? if so maybe he likes that big no nonsense type CB

Would someone like Danny Batth do a job,he still is available i see

We need a head on a stick organiser.

The opposition are going to be route 1, try and turn us, bombard the box with crosses. It was our big weakness last season and we still have pretty much the same personnel. I don’t see Connor Hall as that type of defender.

We need to stop the crosses so they can't even be in that position to challenge for headers. The flanks have been our problem for years.

With the signings we are making surely he is going attacking and none of this defensive nonsense,as i keep saying he has no excuses now

I do think patience will be required. With so many changes to the team I suspect it’s going to take a few months to make it click.

I’m not as concerned about the mental side to get  a really good start now with the personality and number of new players added to the squad.

As you say though end results will have no excuses.

Yep. Clark is a great player but obvious worries about his fitness. Not sure how Hart will do yet. For me we could do with bringing someone like Clark/Gibbo that is equally comfortable on either side. Then if we're being greedy we could do with someone with loads of pace to change a game from out wide.

Stop it at source, yes. In a 4 there will be less space down the sides anyway so we will naturally close it down better. I’m thinking more direct balls, free kicks, long throw ins and corners. That’s what L2 teams will be playing for.

I just don’t see teams playing against us any other way due to our midfield other than a couple of exceptions.

I think it's obvious now that we will bring in another forward after selling Loft

So as you say we might need another couple of full backs and a pacey right winger(would still like to see Adalukan in that role),so that's a potential 5 more players if you add a dominant CB to it although a couple could be loans and we still have some more to shift yet as well

Not sure we need Paton personally.

Moore has said his preferred formations are 4-2-3-1 and 3-4-3, so both systems only use 1 striker, flanked by 2 wingers/wide forwards.

3 strikers (Tolaj, Stockley, Dipepa) vying for 1 position feels about right.

So to spend another 6 figure fee on a forward seems a bit overkill? Surely for that money, Paton will want to play (as will Tolaj and Stockley).

Would prefer that being spent on more wide men as we only really have Curtis and Plant as natural wingers. Chislett can play there but not his natural position.

2 more wingers needed IMO.

Good points, personally I’d like to see us go 2 up top at times especially at home. Would rather 4 strikers myself but see what your saying about signing guys for fees & trying to keep them all happy. Maybe we will go down the loan market for a young lad who won’t expect too much game time. I’d be very suprised if we sign Paton but wouldn’t be complaining 😄
