As direct a forward as we’ve had for sometime. Looked better coming on as a sub than a starter in my view, but we certainly missed his raw pace and ratting at opposition defenders. I know he picked up a bad long term injury (torn thigh?) in poleaxing the opposition keeper whilst on international duty, but as has been said,  it’s not a given our previous management would have used him much/at all if he’d come back unscathed.

But to get out of this league, I would rather have someone more established playing up front than relying on 17 year old

I’d rather have an experienced goal scorer alongside a huge potential Dipeppa. Don’t have to rely on just him.

You are putting weight on his shoulders by expecting a 17 year old to perform with an experienced goal scorer.

I think the majority of those are just the young lads other than Edwards and Wright-Phillips(who's career seems to of nose dived over the last couple of seasons)

It’s all speculation and rumour but plenty of Stoke mates I know seem to think Edwards got himself in with the wrong crowd and has been giving it Billy big <ovf censored> around the place and went off the rails. Looks like he got sent out on loan a few times and it’s not really worked out for him.

He does have potential, the same As Chislett, Garrity and Ripley are Championship potential players. 

I can't see either of those three staying, very surprised if they do
