Bristol Rovers (H) match thread - 29th March

Get in there Vale.  Well done players and staff for getting todays results.

Shame the other results was not in our favour.  The great escape dream is still there.

Awesome result and what a total change of how the team played and shows they want it.

Does make you think fraudcroft was the issue and even the players wanted him out.

What a win. So proud of the boys. Let's keep this going! UTV.

Be raging if I was a Rovers fan but great win, well done Vale. Shame about Barnsley and Wigan but we have a game in hand on Burton againt Pboro who let 3 in today against rock bottom Carlisle, and we can take 3 points off Cambridge on the last day. I thought we were absolutely <ovf censored> a few weeks ago but we can still do it...

And in an odd twist of fate I've just realised today's games are reversed on Monday - Barnsley will have Burton and Wigan are playing Cambridge. Can they do us a favour 3 days later after ballsing it up today?

Get in if we go down least we are fighting now.

7 points from 12 - come on lads the great escape is on.

A good 3 points think we took foot off pedal after the Loft chance but overall great team performance

Defence were superb .

Bit wasteful with ball at times but deserved 3 points don't just boot it anywhere play your football

B Dipepa great goal nearly had another with overhead kick.

Lofty deserved a goal .

Player of the match Debrah won everything as did Smith

Well played lads

Brilliant win. Some much fight and determination, I can’t believe its the same side as a few weeks ago (well since DF left) everyone contributed. Even Massey for the 5 mins he was on did excellent. Uche is such a nightmare to play against and if he stays fit we have a big chance. Dipepa, I thought he was outstanding today, some class there.

Everyone turned up, some much fight and determination. The shape was excellent throughout, they showed nothing but have good players, our shape was excellent and another clean sheet. Results not gone our way but the biggest one has. We needed to win and we have. I fancy us on Monday. They have nothing to play for

No matter what happens I’m more positive for next season. Get in there. Lots of twists and turns ahead.

Well done Vale

more points on Monday would be useful

Great result and a solid performance against a side clearly going through the motions. But you can only beat what's in front of you and we dispatched them comfortably. Suddenly remembering how to defend properly and having a threat going forward clearly makes a huge difference for any side!

Dipepa could bring us in some serious cash.

Vale looked very good going forward today. I would say Bristol looked suspect at the back and had a clown in goal, but you have to beat what is in front of you and they did. Meanwhile Vale restricted a side who do look good going forward to a couple of shots in 90 mins and defended the box well.

So looking at checking the highlight's out tonight for the goals.

The 2nd goal sounded awesome by Dipepa.

Not used to this feeling - can wait to watch the highlight's.  Normally its give it a miss.

Hopefully. We look more of a group now Flitcroft has gone. I’m confident we can see this out

Just a pity that Cambridge, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham,  Reading & Burton all picked up useful points this afternoon!

It was a good dribble but I have to say a team with better defenders would have tackled him.

Thought the ref had a good game too

dont often say that

We are going to have to do it the hard way. Some big surprises there but the teams at the bottom now want it more than the teams in mid table who are safe but can't do much more. Annoyed with Barnsley.

Possibly yes. But it’s not really relevant. He did it against Bristol today that’s all that matters
