Having a poor season. Wouldn’t be playing if we had better players. But has contributed massively to our team and Club over the past years and shouldn’t be dug out like this.  We can criticize his current performance but let’s stay respectful eh? I’m guessing that no one will be more disappointed with his current performances than Smudge.

I did edit to give my reasoning for Sang. He’s full of energy, still only 23, good on the ball & high work rate. Decent delivery I feel there’s a lot to like about Sang he’s not a defender he needs to be more advanced or in the middle or he’s being wasted mate

Not a fan of this being a thread people are well within their rights for saying opinions about players and we all do on here but singling him out after a howler and poor season 

 

id just like to remind people in the 10 or so years hes been at the club we have been probably at some of our worst times at the club. How many players have come and gone in that time. How many players have played in our defence and gone on to have decent careers along side him. Hes stuck by us when he could of left. Hes been a ever present. A rock.
 

i agree he hasnt been great this season however he has way more credit in the bank to deserve this. Im willing to give him another go next season obviously he has to get back to better form if he does . This bloke has given everything to this club for HIS WHOLE FOOTBALL league career.

Smith is a head it kick it right sided centre half, don't let him do anything other than that. He's not a ball playing defender, nor should we let him take clever free kicks. League 1 is not the place for him I'm afraid

He’s a decent league 2/National league defender.

He has shown little improvement in his ten years here.

He is a big part of the problem.

Wouldn’t have him anywhere near league 1 football.

i agree he hasnt been great this season however he has way more credit in the bank to deserve this. Im willing to give him another go next season obviously he has to get back to better form if he does . This bloke has given everything to this club for HIS WHOLE FOOTBALL league career.

Smith has been one of our most consistent performers of the last x10 years. I have respect for the fella. He's in a poor, poor side and struggling for sure.

Only because no other clubs want him.

Ask yourself why, in ten years, we haven’t turned down bids left right and centre.

Hes crap at this level. He’s a decent defender in the league below. And he will probably stand out slightly in the national league.

That was ridiculous today. Especaillly in the first minute! And as captain!! Absolutely shocking. Unforgivable. Another who is not good enough and offers little to <ovf censored> all quality wise. And I ain’t having all this Nathan Smith he’s one of our own crap.

He isn’t good enough. Period. We don’t need sentiment now. We need leaders and his actions today were <ovf censored> woeful.

Can’t keep carrying players that aren’t good enough. He was good at one stage. He was poor last season, woeful this. How many points has he cost us this season? Today was enough, shouldn’t play again. Or we can be sentimental and let him keep making errors

A league 2 defender, football ability wise would be National North, will always give his all but out of depth at this level.
