I think if we are playing a back 4 then for me the best 2 CB's are Lopata and Debrah but as you say maybe Yak with Lopata could be ok,also i would prefer Shorrock at LB as we have nothing to lose right now

The yak deserves a run back in the side 👍🏻 he’s sat out a bit now after some poor performances. Only right others get the same treatment

When he's not fancied by an interim or permanent manager you've got to think he's out of the picture for the foreseeable.

These things happen when everything is going against us.

I think saying it "happened" is too lenient. I could go and watch Sunday morning football in my local park and wouldn't see such a shockingly unprofessional action as that from Smith.

A day on from the game and l still can't see what he was thinking. His negligence punctured the atmosphere and meant we'd have to come from behind to win yet again. I don't recall us doing that all season.

He’s been back in the match day squad since Moore come in tho, whether that’s down to Lopata missing who knows 🤷‍♂️ I think he starts on Tuesday or comes in at lb. Smith & Jones have to be dropped for me

You're spot on.

Moore announced to the fans. Darren Moores Black and White army ringing around.

Anticipation. Come on Vale let's do this.

Then that calamity sucked the life out of the whole stadium and killed everything stone dead. A laughing stock of a goal any minute of the game but so early was an incredible decision to make by Smith.

Ok he called them two bizarre moments & later on says the first goal is a bizarre incident. I don’t quite understand the point your trying to make there. Either way it’s horrific from Jones & smith. By using the word bizarre it’s sugar coating it at its best. Excuses I’m sick of it I’ve been hearing them all season

The point I am making is that somebody quoted him as saying something which he didn't actually say.

For my friend and I to discuss that it was probably the worst give away goal I have ever seen Vale do in 36 years, and you won't see a worse goal give away all weekend all season in all divisions this year, then yeah, bizaar. It was a head fckuk moment. DM followed it up with "it was probably self inflicting more than anything". So he spoke the truth and didn't sugar coat it. He said it how it was. Yeah, we are all fuming about it and you may see that two three times in Sunday league a season.

It was an horrendous mistake. Nothing else. Nothing bizarre about it for me but we all have different opinions mate 👍🏻 the way he spoke about it was defending Smudge in my eyes. I’ve not heard a single person call it a bizarre goal apart from the gaffer

Lincoln yesterday played 3-5-2 which is what we were supposed to be playing this season.

Their two wing backs were lined up in a 5 when we had the ball. When they had the ball they were lined up level with the centre forward. It must take some stamina to perform the role but I never saw them short defensively. Their number 2 was excellent.

It just shows the players are out there good enough to play the system we wanted to play.

It's happening since Jan 2023 how can you finish season like last and give contracts out to players who constantly look like they hate playing for us and it really shows it really does.

Port Vale leave the big boys play football and we go back to the little league that's what she the wife .

That's the mentality the players have you can see it a mile off .

I'm utterly ashamed of what we have become .

I'm not going point finger at Carol what can she do apart from have a meeting with each player and tell them exactly what she thinks of there efforts honestly a 7-0 defeat deserves get us relegation alone there's no coming back from that although we rallied and had a game go top then we concede 3  goals you be ashamed give away on a Sunday the third sunming up Ojo and Smith .

What Moore can do is transfer list or remove serial offenders of  the clubs downfall give  Garrity the armband remove Smith and Ojo from Club altogether by paying them off or showing them the door .

That's what I'd do I'd do it today you not bigger than the club your <ovf censored> all .

No way Carol could shake down the players. They would just laugh in her face or behind her back.We all know she is not a football expert and the players are aware.

This is what the DOF is paid to do.

It’s a shocking mistake. Unprofessional? Negligent? I don’t think so, it’s a game of football where the unpredictable can happen.  An horrendous mistake in a poor season for him.

No he isn’t. They wouldn’t take him seriously either. It’s the managers job.

Most Valiants were emotionally drained before kick off and I was pleasantly surprised at the feeling as the game started. There was an effort by all fans to get behind the team. However after one and a bit minutes all life had been drained out of us. By the final whistle the atmosphere had obviously done a u turn. Apathy, frustration and sheer disbelief set in and frankly Vale are staring down the abyss. There is no way out now with the current squad. We are down. This Club faces a gigantic close season. It could go very, very wrong. Most Valiants, hand on heart have seen this coming. Time now to face reality. We simply have to ensure next season sees us stay in the Football League.

Just brought myself to watch ' highlights ' on YouTube.

Shows the whole move that led to the free kick in the first minute. We actually decided to take the free kick about 20 foot from where the offence took place.

Really was shocking.

Later in the game as well we had a throw in by the empty Lorne Street seats on the attack. Yet within 10 to 15 seconds it was at Ripleys feet .
