The owner has sort of alienated herself with a fair proportion of supporters and still has the backing of the blind,  so here is her chance to make amends.

 

1.Get rid of Flitcroft

2.Get Ainsworth in, probable survival with the poor squad that Vale are stuck with

3.Rebuild for the next two seasons and carefully buy suitable players for a promotion push

4. The owners get full return on their 'investments'

Darren Moore would be a good appointment. Good record at this level. Anyone who watched last year's League 1 playoffs know how good he can be in making changes to get a result. At 4-0 down after the semi final first leg, Wednesday had absolutely no right to get promoted yet promoted they were.

Moore had an excellent record at West Brom then Doncaster followed by Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield have been basket case for a while now and he’s not the only previously successful manager to fail there which suggests the problems lie elsewhere at the club (same scenario as Sjoke), I think it would be a real coup for us to get him although still not sure we could afford him.

Bang on. His CV is impressive & has a vast amount of experience 👌🏻 if we get him it’s up there alongside Adams in terms of pedigree & a big name since I’ve been supporting Vale

On paper, possibly. But every appointment is a risk and until the new manager is here and has managed a notable number of games, you can't declare that it would be a good appointment. I'll get behind whoever is appointed, and trust the judgment of those much more experienced and knowledgeable than me.

Moore met his objective at SW on a much bigger budget and with much better players than us. Hopefully, if it is him, he can meet the only objective for us this season, and then push on from there

I remember Barry Bannan saying how inspiring Darren Moore is, instilled massive belief in the team for that 2nd leg game and also how much detail he went into to prepare his team.

I think he has a bit of a defensive approach but let’s be honest this is what we need to sort this bloody defence.

Yeah that’s true but he still had to get the job done 👍🏻 The reason he was at a massive club like Sheffield Wednesday says it all in regards to him as a manager

Now we might be able to get him after his stock has dropped at Huddersfield. Just 12 months ago he was one of the best managers in the league and now some Vale fans are questioning if it'd be a good appointment.

If we can get Moore, even I will give the DOF a lot of credit for pulling it off.

Yes but he’s done well at two other clubs as well as that. I’d much prefer his record over say Kennedy. Or some coach dipping into management for the first time.
