Now I'm not one for looking backwards but I notice Steve Brooker has been without a club for a year. I can only presume he's left the game, which is sort of a shame.

 

I think people do need to calm down a bit. We don't actually know how much money KR is going to plough into the first team and some of the names being banded around are crazy: we are still in League Two at the moment you know!?! I think instead of getting carried away, it would be prudent to sit back and watch things unfold as & when. I'm not being miserable, just realistic- plus, as far as Vale are concerned, I'm thoroughly sick of having my hopes dashed.

 

Basically what I'm saying is if people get carried away with things, the reality will not live up to expectations and through no fault of his own, Keith Ryder will be deemed to be a failure

Agreed. Players like Beattie are coming to the end of their career and know they aren't going to be getting 7 or 8 grand a week anymore. Give him a decent signing on fee, and whatever Rico was on and I reckon we could have a chance.

HA! James Beattie? I'll believe that if I ever see it!!! (Be great if it happened, but I'm with Yukon here and aren't getting my hopes up!)

 

We just need that bit of quality to replace the players that have gone and we'll be orate.

Not sure about Beattie and think he could be a bit disruptive,especially if he pulls up at our League Two club in his Lamborghini Gallardo?:)
