I read he rejected a contract at LA, does anyone know why? Seems a pretty mental decision on the face of it.

 

The general consensus is that he wants to come back home.

 

His partner could only spend months in the states and he believes that he can make it at championship level.

 

Dont forget he would not have been in te TOP earners in that league, only the Henry's and Beckhams are on mega money!

Because they offered him half his salary. He was one game short of triggering a clause of an increase in his salary too.

 

I would have stayed even on half his wage but LA is an expensive place to live.

I personally doubt he could make it in the upper echelons of the Championship but he's certainly good enough for League 1 or a lower or middle of the table championship side.

Because the country in which he has last played hold his registration / papers. It's quite simple really.

 

You wouldn't expect the Monseraat FA to hold Griff's documents as despite his nationality he is registered in this country as he plays in this country.

 

He may have fines or bans hanging over him which I'm sure he hasn't.

It's really surprsing how little football he's played over the last few years. I also wonder if he might be a bit devisive in the dressing room, a bit of a glory boy (when you've got the likes of Marshall and Shuker, no marks trying to resurrect their careers). Just thinking aloud.

I'm pretty sure you can play in the reserves without being registered.

One of the reasons Chris left LA Galaxy was because he was too far away from home, wanted to be with his family and because the travelling was so expensive for them, your rumour is certainly not true.
