One of the reasons Chris left LA Galaxy was because he was too far away from home, wanted to be with his family and because the travelling was so expensive for them, your rumour is certainly not true.

 

It would be different for him in Australia as I'm sure his spouse and child would be able to accompany him full time therefore curbing his costs.
