Because the country in which he has last played hold his registration / papers. It's quite simple really.

 

You wouldn't expect the Monseraat FA to hold Griff's documents as despite his nationality he is registered in this country as he plays in this country.

 

He may have fines or bans hanging over him which I'm sure he hasn't.

In view of the many rules & regs regarding this nowadays , you would hope our erstwhile admin team at the Club will make sure this is all above board before allowing Mr Birchall to play.

After all we wouldn't want an illegible player on the books to go along with any 'illegible Directors' to further compound our problems would we ? !

However with their current track record I don't suppose anyone at the Club knows about it anyway !!

I think it said in the Sentinel last week he wanted to be nearer his family and the cost of them travelling was expensive. I think there was more but I have forgot all that he said.
