On 5 live or Talksport maybe, but I thought RS was a LOCAL station reporting on ALL the local teams, regardless of what league they're in?

 

I think the coverage is fair as all the games are covered and all the managers interviewed etc. In the build up to games coverage is also reasonable on Radio Stoke. Given that Stoke often play on Sunday it is quite common for the whole programme on Saturday to be shared between Port Vale and Crewe and then I find Port Vale fans calling dominate the programme. Today Stoke played at home at the same time and so even taking a proportionate approach a third of calls will be Stoke. But they have a bigger support base, so there will be more calls than that and especially with only 160 Vale fans at the Rotherham game to comment. I also observe few Crewe fans call in generally. One other thing, the programme is about the playing of football, and I don't want to listen to all the material on the website here about the board etc on live radio as well. Neither do Radio Stoke, that's a local news thread - another time, another place.

But its like some on here think the whole world is against you,which could'nt be further from the truth.

One of the best things to happen to Stoke was that run of bad ref's decisions against them early last year. Pulis created so much fuss about it that nearly every dodgy decision has gone for them ever since, eg Spurs,( and still are) Only Pulis never seems to notice these! Indeed said recently, "we are Stoke, we don't complain" Ha ha.

I noticed that the Crewe crew were 'bigging' Nick Powell up again.Doing somersaults over his chipped goal with McGarry coming out with a classic quote "Two million pounds,you're having a joke".The goal looked pretty ordinary to me.
