Even with our angst, and whilst, even at my age, I am all for demonstration, if peaceful and designed, that surely would be OTT and mark us down as the type of people hassling MP's and the like, and whilst like Smurf they may well deserve it, to me it would be an even sadder today if the Valiant masses, dwindling as they resorted to such behaviour

"Hassling MPs" nonsense. Gorm doesn't need to go round with an armed diplomatic protection officer. It was a group of Vale fans stirring things up in a benevolent tongue in cheek way. They ended up mates with the bouncer Clive on the main entrance ffs.

I have a lot of stuff saved from the last time some of the Vale fans asked direct questions. Exploring round VP, knocking on Deakin's office door while the snivelling little rat locked it, hid behind his desk and sent out a female receptionist to investigate. Leaving Monop-erry money everywhere including all over Oliver's car. Best of all was Deakin having to climb into the back of a Police van and be driven down to Burslem station as he was too much of a spineless invertebrate to walk through the car park and answer to Benson et al.

 

Need more of this.
