So, in essence as I see it he is saying:

 

* A buyer wants to buy the club but can't afford the ground right now so they will rent for 5 years with an option to buy

* He doesn't think it's a wise move and if more people backed him he would move back to day-to-day ownership

* The potential buyers are not Synectics

As a result he’s even more committed and will be involved in the daily running blah blah blah same old tat. I no longer believe a word he says and haven't for some time. Without firm evidence I would just dismiss anything he says, that's my advice.

Did he actually also say the budget was £300k more this season than last. Well last season he tweeted Bruno would be backed as much as Adams and would be given £2.5mil. So if the budget "as you say Smurf" was £300k more this season, then your saying Brown had £2.8mil.

And people still back him.

Norm's hit upon quite a lucrative revenue stream: almost selling the club.

 

As long as he will be able to sustain two or three potential buyers per year paying him for exclusivity without actually completing, it could well turn out to be a real growth area for the business in the long term.

 

I'm surprised there aren't more football club owners nearly selling their clubs as often as Norm does.

 

Obviously, the football side of things has gone to the dogs but who cares? We're going to have a pub.

I have stated previously, as have others that they are concerned with Smurthwaite's health and state of mind. He simply utters any tripe when asked and doesn't think it through until challenged and even then he contradicts himself and leaves himself open all the time to ridicule and suspicion from sane, concerned fans.

 

How anyone can back this man without clear proven facts is beyond me! Until I see things in writing and are totally legal and binding then I'm sorry I have NO time for his histrionics or babblings.

 

Port Vale are suffering badly as a result of his complete mismanagement and understanding of how to run a Football Club.
