Brexit again...

I made my own way in life,I didn’t need my father’s help.I suppose you didn’t when you went to University.I had my own job and family at 20.

Same. Everyone does. Or you end up with a rubbish lot in life. It's that simple. Everyone get's off their arse and does a bit, more if they want more - less if not bothered. People aren't freeloaders and those who are have a terrible existence which I would never be envious of. I had help off my Dad during Uni. In my final years, with all my bills it was costing me £2000 a month to live and after my loan payments (Fees) etc I had £2500 to live from for an entire year. I worked my socks off to make ends meet and did 12 months of that, off my own back without ever taking a part time job like Maccy D's or the type. Days/Nights no heating, buttered toast for tea, walking everywhere etc - to make it work. Still, I had a house, had some future prospects and never forgot how fortunate I was compared to most in the world. My family is not mega rich at all, but they have always done their best by me. I'm mega lucky. 99% of people I know don't come from the traditional nuclear family unit anymore, and this is something I believe a demise in culture, morality and standards in the UK (Thats a different debate).

See I have massive respect for older generations - a lot (my old dears included) who did appear to be married with a family at an early age - who worked through it all and did well for themselves. Massive respect.

Do you think today people could have a family at the age of 20 without needing any support from the state, if they have no family behind them? Or their family isn't rich enough to help?

There are no tangibles/definites in the future.... you can't say for definite that staying in would mean things would be the same or improve over the next couple of years..... you may believe it, people may predict it, analysts may support it..... but that doesn't make it a reality... until it happens.

There is always the possibility of the unpredictable.

People believed the titanic was unsinkable.... look how that turned out.

You can plan for eventuality but not for reality.

You say you are planning to retire at 50...... what would happen if a global crash happened when you were 49?

Hang on. We can though.

On Breixt deadline, even with a deal - we need to renegotiate 750 trade treaties.

Non EU immigration has increased and will carry on to do so.

Companies are relocating / jobs being lost

What your saying there then is people voted to leave, without knowing what would happen. In hope we see some positives/benefits.

GDP / Value of £ decreased

These arent made up things, these are realities before we've even left. It should set alarm bells off that 2 years into it all and no one can give a single real benefit to their lives from this vote.

Yeah I am.

Based on your logic there - people voted to leave something without having any real/tangible benefits of doing so. So what was the point in the vote? I thought people voted out because there lives were going to drastically improve... But here we are and no one can name on thing that will change which will improve their daily lives. They can't.

Howjy, I'm still a young whipper snapper yet I'll be here a fair old while, retired by 50 that's the plan. So there is another 'brexit dividend' you will have to wait a few decades to see. Think positive though! Think positive! Positive thinking... Did I say think positive and everything will go how you dream it too? 😂

Mr.H seems to missing SOTT's input on this thread TVF so you have some extra work to do on the Remain side.

We all love Miss Diane by the way, she's doing a great job for the Tories.?😁

No extra work for me mate. You and your Brexit cronies do a great job showing why Brexit is such a bad idea.

No we can't.

How do you know? You may be correct but you don't know.

It may do but we don't know until it happens.

That's not something new to brexit.

People voted on what they believe to be the correct action.

And your lot are guilty for refusing to accept the result of the refendum and the shortcomings of the EU.

In what way am I doing anything to stop Brexit or go against the result? I’m on a Port Vale forum within the off-topic debate thread – trying to find people who can string a coherent and logical opinion together on the subject – and that is all I am doing (and struggling to find anyone who can do just that). Because I fundamentally disagree with something, I should accept it? That’s not very British is it really?

Let's just talk about ethereal things then - thoughts, dreams, visions, all the things that will sustain and nourish during the glorious future that has been promised that will surely come to pass.

And let's not talk, or plan for the future, there doesn't seem to be any point to it, it will just....happen, and we will know when it does.

Your invocation of the Titanic is prescient, in that there is far more that is damaging under the waterline that people have no knowledge over.

How do I know?

I know non EU immigration is increasing because it's a statistically factual recording taken down by the ONS.

I know the GDP has decreased because the economic-models used to evaluate our GDP for years has highlighted it's reduced our growth.

I know the £ is worth less now because it's just a fact we all know.

Companies ARE relocating and blaming Brexit - it's a fact.

Your argument is stronger if these were 'my beliefs' but they're not, they're facts you can chose to either accept of deny.

Throwing stuff at people off the internet is not thinking for yourself Mr.International.The fact that you had to correct me about your bank account status shows you are a little bit slow in picking things up.You really need to chill and lighten up.Brexit is happening whether you like it or not.I’ll let you know about the benefits when they happen.I suppose you may be like most kids nowadays. You want things and can’t wait.Calm down Love Brexit.Having a stroke at your tender age will guarantee you won’t see 50.

I think you and they will be waiting a long time.
