Forrester pick of the bunch today ,great first half hatrick , and understandably bought off at half time. Howe looked quite good at CH ,talks a lot ,and no messing about, didn't do much wrong and got on the scoresheet. Regis I thought had a quiet game ,thought Middleton was again pick of the midfielders. Angus seems to be improving and growing in confidence every game. Wilson more effective second half when switched to the wing. Very strong side out today against a Mansfield youth team, hence the 6-0 scoreline.

That's interesting about Middleton. On paper, with the games he played for Donnie, you'd think he had plenty to offer compared to our current ageing midfield but he doesn't seem to be rated by Aspo. It will be interesting to see if he can work his way into Aspo's plans. We could do with some new blood.

i watch the reserves and i agree Middleton does ok just dont understand why he is never considered

Going on the last few reserve games I would pick Middleton before Regis to make the 1st team bench.

Did well enough once he came on last Saturday without setting the game alight. I think he'll improve.

What we want is a decent 442 line up and play at pace without the long ball c*** Once Vale have a team that can do that again the club might start to go places again.

 

Sick and tired of this limited one dimensional play that is customed to use Pope's main strength in the air. We need pace and proper football. Then Pope may get more goals but I wont hold my breath
