I would like us to win this game and sneak through to the later rounds by being drawn at home and beating more Yeovil or lower level teams. If Total Network Solutions, a Welsh League team located in England can reach the semi finals of the Scottish Challenge Cup, the surprises cup football throws up are unbounded.

Why do we need cheap tickets? Its an FA Cup match it’s supposed to make money for the club! This didn’t happen years ago every team was proud to play in the trophy and the crowds even for 1st and 2nd round matches were triple than what they are now.

We have to offer cheap tickets because the crowd would be abysmal at full prices. It saddens me to see the deterioration of the Cup, but don't blame the clubs.

 

Blame the FA who scandalously allowed Manchester United to be excused from competing back in about 2000. For selling games for Sky to cover, who then shifted and shafted the kickoff times. For selling the competition for sponsorship. For taking the semis to Wembley and now keeping them there. For changing the 3pm kickoff for the final to suit everybody except the fans. They've ruined it.

No we never got tickets free for Cup matches with our season tickets. There were vouchers inside which allowed fans to have first dibs to obtain a ticket for the cup match. Ticket allowances were sold to season ticket voucher holders first and once that was done went on general sale.

I thought we used to get stubs in the back of season tickets that covered Rounds 1 & 2. It may have been that they were indeed vouchers for tickets.

Wonder which Vale will turn up Saturday?

 

Will we get Jeckyll or Hyde? Will we get the solid, hard working squad playing for each other or the couldn't care less-where is my pay cheque mob?

 

On our day we will win this. Frustratingly we could also get beaten if most don't turn up.
