how can people make statements like this after last season? wasn't it in November last year we beat Stockport 5-0 away and we were top, look what happened then!!

A win would be great, draw ok but even a loss in this and even the next 2 games would not mean the season is over. You only have to look at last season to know that you don't know how a season is going to pan out until at least the New Year. Short memories people

Im going for 3-0 again Pope to score first.

How can people make statements like this also.

Why should the New Year give us a clearer indication ?

BHF is saying that the next three games look ' difficult ' and by then the number of games we have played will include ' some better teams and some worse '

I agree that after these games we will have a good feeling for how the season might pan out !!

There will always be the possibility of a winning 5 game run or a losing one that will change dramatically the league positions.

We all love to predict where we will be dont we.

I am making a rare visit to England this weekend and so will be sailing up the Burslem Arm to attend saturday's match against Morecombe.

However, I think I'm right that you can't pay at the turnstiles any more, but can anyone tell me how I do go about getting in?

Points-with-Bone

You can pay on the turnstiles in the Railway Stand.

So far we have played 6 of the teams who currently sit in the top half of the table and have not won one game yet. Unless this changes we won't go up, so a win on Saturday is a must for me.

The thing is Mark, since we brought in Chilvers and Kozluk we have been much more solid and played much better. I would think that is a better guage to how we are at the moment.

I made the same point on the thread about Grew saying we fear no one.

We must beat the teams above us to stand any chance of going up.

For the Bycars (Greene King Stand) and Lorne Street you normally have to pre-buy your ticket from the ticket office just off Hamil Road.

Brilliant. Many thanks for that. Seems a time-consuming affair though. Presumably quite a few people will be simultaneously queuing up at the ticket office to purchase a ticket and will then have to queue up again to go through a turnstile.

Also, I've heard rumours on the tom-toms that current matchday food at the Vale is a) an affront to one's stomach b) priced on an index closely related to that of the Greek bail-out fund

If this is true I am allowed to bring in my own culinary delights or would such an attempt result in confiscation by some neanderthal in an orange jacket?

You can bring your own food, but i think barbecuing a Wildebeast in front of the Lorne St stand may be frowned upon.

For once we're consistent I guess.

3 points from the top half, 19 from the bottom.
