I would suggest its similar to a muderous terrorist who blows himself up and others in the Manchester arena or drives vehicles into people no difference to what you describe in your post imho just a different method

It's been suggested that it's being used in some cases as an alternative to using knives or guns to for example get revenge for something. The crim could be arrested for carrying a knife/gun around beforehand but can't be arrested for having a bottle of bleach (or worse) in a rucksack

It seems to be the latest craze and we need much harsher sentences for this kind of crime.

I anticipate it's concentrated acid of various types that are used in these types of attack and such chemicals, even in small quantities, are not readily accessible to Joe Public. Ditto large quantities of acetone and hydrogen peroxide used ro make the explosive material, TATP, used in many terrorist attacks.

I'm astounded that such substances can be purchased by the general public in the UK, particularly very corrosive substances or concentrated acid.

I beg to differ.

 

The two main points of the programme were the sheer scale of grooming of underage white girls by mainly Asian men in many towns/cities across the UK and the fact that the CPS and the Police knew about it, information and evidence had been presented to them about it and they chose to ignore it for 3-5 years allowing yet more young girls to be victimised.

 

The latter is a result of the power of political correctness that has rendered the Police and authorities in the UK impotent in certain situations for fear of being labelled racist and/or upsetting "community relations". It is an example of political correctness at its most horrifying and damaging.

 

From what I remember the BNP were mentioned because the father of one of the victims said despite semen/DNA from a known offender being found on her underwear and other evidence the CPS and Police decided not to take the case forward and he subsequently approached the BNP.
