have read the replies to the many questions i have personally asked . some received just a non event reply , others were quite expansive (mainly the less important ones).

 

tbh, all in all i am not alot wiser and there are still many grey areas . i will take the weekend to assess my standpoint , my worry is that sims will end up nowhere near the vale board . it will be a massive error for the board to allow this.

But words are cheap. I believe that Blue Sky wish to be judged on their actions, rather than words.

 

I think they realise why people are still very cynical. As I have said before, we have all become conditioned to expect to be let down.

Hi all,

 

We have just received the Q&A answers and Gary B is currently formatting them for issuing.

 

I have been extremely busy signing off my company's 2012 Holiday brochure this week so have had practically no spare time other than meeting Lloyd and Deakin yesterday with Mark Sims. Time that in all honesty I could ill afford away from my business.

 

I understand from others that there has been severe criticism of me on here and I just wish to point out that if I had not attended the meeting last Saturday then these answers would have been delayed even longer and I thought it worth risking some wrath on the majority of fan's behalf in order that they get replies to their questions ASAP but I never anticipated the character assassination that some have inflicted upon me apparently.

 

For those who believe that in the absence of the SC Secretary I should have taken anyone else who was available well that was not acceptable to me as it wasn't an environment for someone who was not briefed. I believe in representing the Supporters Club to the best of my ability but if that is not considered enough then I look forward to those who can do better applying for the role of SC Chairman.

 

You may like to know that before accepting the role of SC Chairman myself I made a personal approach to two well respected Vale fans to ask if they would consider applying for the post, unfortunately they both declined.

 

However, at the time of the election I made it clear that if someone who was acceptable to the SC membership came along and offered their services I would willingly stand down.

 

I have an extremely busy professional life and have been taken aback at what I am told has been put on this site this week, in some cases by people who I previously thought of as friends, I find it somewhat galling that a number of these critics are not even SC members!

 

For those who have contacted Robbie Williams's representatives questioning my use of the proxy for my own ends may I point out that Saturday's meeting was on purely SC business and had no relevance whatsoever to the use of the proxy.

I can't believe the abuse DF is taking, he has done wonders for us. Maybe he truly believes this is now in our best interests? perhaps knowing more than we do for now? I've stood with DF at protests, particularly outside at Crawley, told him " we could do with you on the Board", he was embarrassed. What is up with us? We are only now slowly becoming aware of more details, yet some have been agitating for weeks. If it's Mo, well he's history - I would have prefered Mo but it ain't gonna happen, we move on or pack in the Vale - personally not sure yet, so sickened and unhappy , and after 45 years support, that I feel I can live without it, and yet I'm still on here so who knows. Not read the answers yet, but I tell you now, anything has got to be better than Bratt, Jacko & Oliver - conmen and hippocrites of the highest order!! They should be banned from VP for life - how popular would that be?

I liked the bit which said: While resisting the use of the term “sleeping giant” the club clearly can and should realistically compete at a higher level.

 

It made such a change from "We are where we are" :D

 

I also liked the bit where they admit that the Ameriturf deal was pants despite cricitising the fans for telling them just that!

I thought some of the answers came across as a bit unprofessional really.

 

There was bound to be some duplication of questions and subject matter, given the questions originated all from different sources. The answers all had the tone of somebody who felt they were repeating what they were saying to the same person over and over again.

 

Given the £400,000 'misunderstanding' arose from something which was reported in The Sentinel, the lack of patience shown in some of the answers (eg "There is no £400k!!!") reflected badly in my view.

 

On reflection, the structure of the questions and answers in the way they were presented could have been a formatted a bit better, but maybe this was due to constraints of time.
