Always thought Haughton looked decent at Development level but when you compare him with someone like Andoh (size wise) he was probably never going to make it.

Was Haughton in that side that got to the semis of the youth FA Cup a few years back? Might be a bit too long ago now. Did anything ever come of any of those players?

Think he means the Chelsea game which was the quarters. Haughton wasn't in it. None of our players are currently playing in the league, Glover, Davidson, Martin, Malbon and Chapman briefly did before drifting into non league.

Didn't Luke Prosser come through our academy/youth team? If so he's still in the football league I think as is Charlie Raglan

My previous post is in general not just the Chelsea youth game. Can only think of Billy Paynter to add to that list as most seem to just go into local non-league when they leave vale

Joe Cardle is still playing in the Scottish championship though i can imagine the standard of that is league 2/national league level. Another player who was released last season was Jonathan Kapend , I remember the youth and reserve coaches would rave about him and thought he could break into the first team one day

Didn't we also reach the Quarters back in '68/69 ish (Bromage et al) and lost 2-3 to Scunthorpe? Testing your research skills here, Phil, as I know you're not old enough to have attended - unlike me!!
