Slovakia v England

For Us All

Funny how you didn't mention his first half performance where he gave the ball away more times than any other England player. One thing is for sure, had he played for Liverpool you would have been slagging him off left, right and centre.

By your own admission Henderson isn't good enough for Liverpool never mind England.Rooney had to drop deep to get the ball because nobody was passing to him.In the second half you suggested we take Rooney off for Alli. You are clueless Beechy.Who would have set up the play,Henderson?:rollonthefloor:

Stats from the first half comparing Marek Hamsik and Rooney showed Rooney made ca a third more passes with ca twice the completion rate of Hamsik.

Rooney can play as a striker or as a midfield player beacause he's that good a player, he's not the player now that he was when he burst onto the scene for England as a 17 year old but age takes its toll. Presently he's still better than any other English player and remains 110% committed to England's cause.

What's Henderson got to do with Rooney, you tool? Your obsession with Liverpool and it's players for someone who doesn't support them is pretty scary.

Are you related to him, or perhaps look like him? Rooney hasn't been 'that good a player' for a while now, and was arguably never even that good in the first place. He did absolutely nothing that Stones didn't do and Dier couldn't have done. He was a laughing stock in the Euro's and was bang average last night.

I'd leave Kane out for the next game,he's off his game and looks lost up front.

He looked lost because he had naf all service of the so called number 10 who was supposed to be playing alongside him. I really cant see why Dele alli doesn't play in that position.

Unfortunately I'm not related to him and not as handsome. There are two stats, that cannot be disputed that say how good Rooney is and has been, leading goal scorer for England and 2nd most caps for England and he could well end up most capped, spanning a 12 year period and several managers, those stats don't include his club record.

John Stones frightens the crap out of me when he comes so far forward with the ball the way he did and there wiil be times when it costs England dear. Apart from Rashford they were all laughing stocks at the Euros, at least Rooney stood up and took responsibility but even he was confused, dumfounded and totally perplexed by Roy Hodgson's tactics.

Not every England player was poor in the Euro's. Walker, Dier and Lallana all did well. The main culprits were Sterling, Rooney and Kane. Oh, and Joe Hart of course who was diabolical. Rooney has been a very good player for club and country in the past, but that was when he was playing as an attacker in some form. He's not a midfielder and although he will do a job against mediocre opposition against the better sides he'll get found out every time.

England are just ****, end of. Still same old shi te players who think they're better than they are. They've got do a lot to win a lot of fans over after the embarrassment of losing HOW they did to Iceland.

We'll see how many fans turn out when they play Malta at Wembley next month?

Up until the Iceland game we weren't that bad in the Euros. We completely dominated all games in terms of possession, something we've not been able to do in the past even against somewhat mediocre sides. The only thing missing was the end product, partly down to Harry Kane having a nightmare and the likes of Vardy and Sturridge been both underused and not used properly by Hodgson. There's plenty there for Allardyce to work with if he gets it right, but playing Rooney as a holding midfielder and continuing to pick a badly out of form Harry Kane as a lone striker is far from doing that.
