Lloyd blame protest for Vale not making a profit

The Wonder of You

Recommended Posts

It's a pity that I can't be at the meeting tomorrow else I would ask Lloyd for proof of that statement. How about showing the invoices to someone? Can someone please ask? At the protests there were the usual security who would be inside the enterance after the match plus perhaps 1 other. If they are on that kind of hourly rate - any chance of a job? It's bs and we all know it. How about Mark Sim's accountant having a look at the books for an independent view. Perhaps GO passe those figures to Lloyd.

Exactly what I was thinking Bert. I wonder if Mr Lloyd will provide us with the proof? £100,000!! Does he think we're stupid!

Whether we Starve 'em Out through not going to games, or through increased police / security costs (at peaceful protests); what difference does it make? The same goal will still be achieved which is pressure on the board.

So I don't really know what ML's point is. His statement just confirms that there are enough angry supporters to raise policing costs to amounts large enough to significantly affect the finances which the board have to play with.

What is the estimated loss through SEO on STs?

That, plus the £100K policing is the minimum they're down. That plus the £300K per annum they're currently losing. Glen Oliver is a God for what he's done for the club.

Today's attendance was very poor. At the Crawley game there were loads of people around me who I'd never seen at Vale before - none of them were there today. You don't think the club gave out a big wedge of freebies for the first game to try to undermind SEO do you??

With regard to losses last season, I have been told on very good authority that the EGM cost the club in excess of £80k in legal fees. That was entirely their own decision. It didn't have to be like that.

Marky, I don't necessarily want to rain on your parade but we've had 3 games at home so far this season and our average home support is a fraction over 4,200.

Now unless there is a dramatic improvement exponentially the 'Club is in deep doo doo.

It's worse than that; it's poo poo.
