Policing at Vale

Then the loonies in the railway would just move to the Bycars end of the Railway.

They tend to move from one end to the other at half time anyway.

Away fans in Bycars with away coaches parked down that way would help stop a lot of trouble on Hamilton road after the match.Vale fans would then be in Hamil end with better facilities. It could also cut down on policing costs.

This has been suggested many times but we were told the police wouldn't allow it.When the police were asked this at the meeting they said there were not against it.

This has been debated many times on many threads on OVF.

Yeah and how would they get to the coaches that are being stoned?

The best end for away fans in regards to coach parking is the Hamil, the coaches park right outside the gates and the area is contained to a large extent by the new fence and the walls. If the away fans were moved to the bycars the away fans would have to walk round the ground to get to the coaches, yes they could park on the co op Car park towards the bycars, but it would still mean fans walking some way to the coaches. Also for the away fans intent on causing trouble what's to stop them coming out of the bycars and going round past the Lorne st.

But that would incur extra stewarding costs, which is what the new fence was meant to do away with.

Use the stewards that are already on duty at the ground.Just move them from other areas as is normally done anyway.

Completely agree. Whilst the better facilities would I'm sure be welcomed by vale fans it's a non-starter for the reasons you outline.

Decent review from the expert' date=' the supporter's chair comments were a little disappointing. Doesn't want netting and seems to just accept football violence. We need to come up with initiatives to rid the club from this filth.[/quote']

Supporters club meeting on Thursday 21st July, tell her to her face rather than on here.
