A Mandate For Change

When Sims and Felstead say buy tickets I would be at the ticket office in a shot. They are Vale through and through and throughout this whole process they have had our best interests at heart. They wouldn't say end SEO unless big change was around the corner. Now we just have to wait and see what they say...

Good Post my friend!!!!

.... Having said that, MC appears the only investor ....

.... and boy, is he a good back-up plan! A successful, driven, local businessman with an excellent team, and solid foundations. A truly dreamlike situation to find yourselves in in the circumstances.

And let's face it, he has shown tremendous resilience and loyalty despite everything the board have chucked at him. He's certainly no fly-by-night.

 and that is something certainly many have not given him credit for. Imagine him helping to try and broker a deal for player...

He's a fighter, and refuses to give up, but seems to have a team around him able to prevent him from blowing his top! I think he's a born leader. And stinking rich too!

Well done Dave. Constructive discussions are what is required and both sides listening to each other. I don't personally agree with the SEO ethos because it gives out the message 'all or nothing' to alot of people, an attitude which rarely works. So, good luck with future discussions.

Dave says there are two options - Administration or Recovery. If the Board have finally recognised how close to the former they are, then the second is the only real option. I think they have also realised that they are not going to win - and that even if SEO comes to an end, they have a lot of ground to make up financlally. They must also realise that SEO won't go away - it remains a weapon that can be used - if it comes to an end, and the trust is betrayed, then it can start again next season without any mercy.

I think we all need to make some compromise to allow change to happen - and if that means one or more of the three hanging on to make the numbers up while change happens, that's a price we may have to pay.

It's got to stop being personal about the 3 - seriously - give it a little time - or we will not have the Recovery option open to us any more, and we'll have the points deduction to cope with, and possibly worse. It would give me no joy to have directors become personally liable and the club not to survive.

I know this isn't what some of you want to hear, but we need the club to progress - and I think we need to give this a chance. I think it may well be the last chance saloon for them, and we maybe need to let them walk away rather than being kicked out.

Personal view....I'm not "official" SEO, I'm part of the Provisional wing....

How many directors to step down 1 or 2? Lloyd as the compromise to give continuity? I assume Sims would have to be on board for anything to happen. Also an investor review.

Jimmy we are all devastated at what has happened at our club and we are at a pivotal moment whereby the club either goes under or has a new dawn.

The answer lies with the Board of the club on one side and the SEO on the other.

Hopefully this coming week will see the healing process begin.

sincerely hope so Dave

you win post of the day from me for the second day on the trot

there would need to be big changes to the board and for someone like Mark Simms to come out and give fans assurances that SEO can go on the back burner for me to consider a compromise - but I would if Ipersonally felt it was right

Dave is right that both sides need to give and take. The board have made the first move and people in the SEO group need to start thinking what they can offer in return.

Let's be honest it's not 500k as good few on these list are fake or have not intention to renew. Im guessing more £200,000 in total they will get in from the SEO who return.

Saying that will the SEO leaders want to budge or are they having too much fun being the leaders in thier battle with loyal troups?

Ican offer two fingers, untill the 3 amigoes RESIGN nothing else will do.

starve em out.
