A couple of observations from someone who ummed and erred about going but ultimately felt the final outcome was inevitable......

1. Home team more than nil, Port Vale 0. Again.

2. No clean sheet and 3 of last seasons defence in the back line.

3. Taking our most dangerous forward off and putting Birchall on.

So for me.....its Page out I'm afraid.

Taking our most dangerous forward off. You having a laugh. Birchall scored more and has more assist's than our most dangerous forward!!!.

Goes missing way too much, faor weather player at best im afraid.

The first appeal by Uche was a good yard inside the box. The one right at the end was probably outside.

The Uche one was indeed a good yard inside the box, as was the shove in the back on the City player. The one right at the end was also inside the box, and was marginally more hilarious than Murphy's effort at getting a penalty.

Normal comments from the usual batch of negative posters who have not been to the game.

Played well today especially first half when we were well on top but we lack that goal scorer unfortunately. We just aren't getting the rub of the green at the moment - offside goal last week, inside of the post and out for AJ this week. Can't fault the effort though - well done!

I did. And we were *****.

First half we were the better team but more because of how crap Coventry were than any of our own good play. They rightly had a rocket at half-time and were deserving of their goal in the second half, though on the day both teams huffed and puffed but looked devoid of any quality.

Under Page the club will go absolutely nowhere except backwards no matter who's in charge of the club. I'm sure he's a nice fella and no doubt gives it his all but he doesn't have a plan B, his subs are often terrible and far too late and he just hasn't managed to sort out certain things like defending set-pieces, despite being a former centre-back of decent calibre himself, and the away form, which in truth has been absolutely shocking under his guidance. It's going to be a very long rest of the season.

You've done well to comment on both Liverpool and Vale, Beechy, before Match of the Day comes on.

Yawn. You really need to get laid. ;)

Merely offering an opinion on what I see, much like what you are (allegedly) doing :)

Away from the views of people who were watching a different game to me, I thought we did ok against a team who will finish top 4. Had AJ's shot gone in during the first few minutes, I suspect we would have gone on to win. We looked sharper with Foley in the centre and Daniel out on the left, although Moore was dreadful and offered no support to either Purkiss or AJ. As usual, we looked worse when the subs were made. I suspect we have seen the last of Uche. Looks to go down rather than heading towards goal or laying the ball off.

Message from a Coventry fan who was at the game, sent to a mate of mine:

"You should have won today. Vale missed two gold-plated chances in the first half and had a good penalty shout turned down. Second half another clear penalty waved aside. We were very, very lucky."

Means nothing! We didn't have a shot on target! Pages tactics are literally the worst I've ever witnessed! DISGRACEFUL
