Very overrated and well out of his depth, spunks money like no other manager , **** poor and full of ***** sound bites that make him look daft, biggest **** up not offering a stalwart like Gerrard a place on the staff, probably felt threatened by him cause I'm sure Gerrard could see him for the ***** he is/was.

Not a Liverpool fan at all, but in fairness to him the reason Liverpool took him was that he did a fantastic job at Swansea. Whilst Stevie G might be a hero to Reds fans that does not mean that he would necessarily be any good in a coaching position. I think Rodgers just kept sinking and the lower he sank the more demoralised he seemed.

I suspect he'll be relieved after the initial disappointment of being fired, and that he will come back somewhere else and do a good enough job.

No matter what people say, managers rarely get sacked with the record that Rodgers has for Liverpool. A record this season in the league of 3-3-2 is what most realistic minded people would expect from this current Liverpool side who have been playing with Sturridge, Liverpool's best player alongside Coutinho, until the last week. The decision should have been made in the summer as it was clear to most that Rodgers had taken Liverpool as far as he could.

Most managers at clubs like Liverpool, Man Utd etc... aren't given long enough to get a record as bad as Rodgers did, hence why no manager has lasted more than 3 seasons without winning a trophy at either of these clubs since the 1950s.

How the hell was his overall record bad? He led Liverpool to the last week of a title challenge which absolutely nobody would have predicted during his time at the club. Last season was poor but let's also not forget that Liverpool were the form side in the country for a couple of months, and that's after losing Suarez, arguably the 3rd best player in the world, and Sturridge, who when fit is a goal machine. Jurgen Klopp has a terrible season with Dortmund last year - Is he suddenly a bad manager? Don't talk absolute nonsense. Rodgers' time at Liverpool was clearly over but to try to insist that his record is bad is ridiculous.
