I find the constitution an odd thing. It binds all future generation to ideals in the past. No laws can be made that contradict it. In many ways it's like a religious text. Surely in 1000 years, the future government of the usa should be able to change it to fit in with the climate of the time.

 

And they all seem to choose to ignore the word "ammendment"! "The constitution can't be changed..."- yes it ****ing can because it has!!!

 

There's a brilliant new Jim Jeffries stand up on Netflix talking about Americans and their guns. Basically he says the have them becuase they like them

Views on there being a Bush and a Clinton involved? I don't know much about Jeb yet but hope he isn't necessarily tainted too much by being a Bush..judge him on his own merits.

As I said judge him on his own merits not on being a Bush; if he did what you suggest for the reasons that you suggest then he should be judged on that accordingly.

Nobody said it can't be changed. It's just a fact that the President cannot change it.

Anyone with half a brain cell should be able to tell that the second amendment is outdated and dangerous- and my first amendment right means I can call anyone who doesn't think that a ******* *****!!!!

 

I will say one thing though, the right to bear arms makes more sense than the right to arm bears

For 20+ I've closely worked with dozens of Americans based in Houston, New York, Columbus, Newark etc and that's certainly not the picture they paint of working and living in the US. I am confident that for many 100s of 1000s it's not a pleasant place to live and work but you could say that about any country.
