Last point to the countryside owner who said we townies don't understand - please explain what there is to understand about increasing fox numbers by breeding baby foxes to be ripped apart by moronic pervert fancy dress sadists. And you don't own the countryside - its there for all of us, whether you like it or not.

One day, one of them will just be honest and say that they enjoy killing animals, and it makes them feel good about themselves. The amount of times ive seen people twist logic in order to justify their love of animal torture. I was once told by a hooray henry that fox hunting was important because foxes snatch babies from prams and kill them. Im not even joking.

I wonder if we could get sponsorship for that if the babies belonged to the hunt people ?

don't forget establishments such as pizza express, dominio's, handmade burger, zizzi's and greggs to name a few who use halal meat. i personally don't buy from these establishments because i don't agree with it.

I totally admire your stance, and agree that it's wrong. Could I ask if you check that eggs you eat when out are free range? Are your chickens free range? Are you interested in the conditions the other animals you eat are kept in? Or is it just animals killed by Muslims?

Way off-topic and possibly another thread is needed for discussions on halal and jewish and other horror methods of killing animals.

I know some muslims think halal is outdated as some jews think they don't need their meat slaughtered in old testament style, my own view is to ban both and all and any other ritual slaughter methods which are cruel, and seem to me to be close to witchcraft and way out of line with modern society. It isn't restricting their freedom, they are abusing mine by these rituals.

Perhaps if aliens land and start eating humans, they will know which people to kill slowly.

But can we not forget those fox cubs and the fact that these people are preparing for hunting again already?

I couldn't care if is Halal or not they are killed pretty quick which ever way. They are animals killed for food it's nature.

Killed forfood maybe nature, ritual slaughter and the original topic of breeding EXTRA baby foxes to be hunted are most un-natural and the fox breeding by the hunt is evil and wicked.

I know YV mate and he is a vegetarian. Not sure how far it all goes but I think it was initially a health choice.

I can guarantee that it isn't an anti Muslim thing and will be down the nature of the killing.

I can't answer as to wether or not he asks for free range when out but, knowing him, he probably does in all honesty!

I dont agree with breeding animals just to chase them around...

I dont consider dog/male chicken/bull fighting, bear baiting etc entertaining.

Male chicken fighting is prevalent here. Would I ban it? No I dont think I have the right to dictate to people what they choose to do in their own country... I dont like it, I dont spectate or participate.

There are no abattoirs here, at least none that I have seen.

I could go on about eating dogs and cats... pets in the west... food in the east.... is there much difference between a dog and a lamb?

I wouldnt harm animals just for fun, saying that I do go fishing... some I eat others I return to the water

Eh up nah is correct in saying that I am vegetarian and my reason for not eating at places which use Halal meat is purely down to the nature of the killing of the animal. It isn't because of being anti-Muslim or anti any other religion in fact. It is purely an ethical choice which to your other question about eggs is why I only buy free range eggs. In regards to the conditions of animals I am totally against fox hunting, bull fighting, animal testing etc and so but to get back on topic I totally agree with Bea Smith on this article.

Then I totally agreed I to you and apologise for asking. Sounds like you're the same as me. It just annoys me sometimes when the likes of carllllll use such things as a platform to push other things, and only care for animal rights if it fits a certain agenda.

Foxes are clever, we all accept that. Assuming then that they are so clever, it stands to reason that they wouldn't take part in fox hunts if they didn't enjoy it.

Ok, so this is a wind up....yes? I've heard so many ridiculous arguments to justify fox hunting, I can't tell the difference anymore.

I'm surprised that Rats dont get immunity from hunting, they are scavengers and carriers of disease I suppose the fact they dont have a cute bushy tail is their downfall.

We are talking about hunting for sport. Most people's opinions on the matter don't change depending on the animal or its tail. Whether animals should be killed for any other reason is a different debate I have my opinions, which probably differ from others, but that's not what this is about.
