FL Play-offs.

Hugill has spent a large part of the season on loan at Hartlepool where he was part of the team which turned the season around under Ronnie Moore. The fact that Preston recalled him to the squad for the play-offs showed the regard they have for him. In an interview after the match for Sky Beckford refused to commit himself to staying at Preston so I imagine that Hugill is the possible replacement in the Preston squad.

If that's the case then I'll be having a tenner on Preston being relegated at the end of next season. If Beckford does go then I expect them to be looking for an experienced replacement not a rookie who has barely played in our division never mind the Championship. I like Hugill, decent player, but I'd be disappointed as a Preston fan if we considered him as a replacement for someone as good as Beckford.

I was a touch disappointed that Swindon didn't go up.

A bit of a bogey team for us lately.

The gulf between rich and poor clubs is getting ever wider.

I wonder what the game will look like in 30 years time. Regional leagues, as in the past? Part-time football? The big clubs each having a smaller feeder club? Or will the bubble burst?

What a great season Bournemouth are in for!

I used to think as them as on a par with us but they've done exceptionally well in the last few years.

Their fans are living the dream.

Feel really pleased for them and Eddie Howe deserves a lot of credit for adopting a style of play that guarantees plenty of goals.

Indeed and it's great for their dedicated 'long suffering' fans

The sadness for me is that I work with a lot of people based in Bmouth and all season it's been "I don't support Bournemouth i support Manu U/Arsenal etc" but many who said that are now planning to get season tickets or start going to matches. I know it will bring money in and their money is as good as anyones but they aren't getting them to watch Bmouth and they may deny tickets to long standing fans.

That's sad but so true for a lot of people(I won't call them fans) who go to their local club to simply watch the opposition.
