Now 2-0 down after Sanchez lost the ball in Monaco's box and Berbarov ran through to counter.

Giroud misses about 100 chances too!

Just goes to show how poor English teams are against the best of Europe.

Chelsea or bust for me and they got milkweed against PSG last week.

Arsenal always do poor around this stage, there losing because of bad tactics as they always do against a very average side. IMO Chelsea and man city are certainly up there with other elite sides, especially Chelsea who came out on top remember in Paris. I personally don't think it shows anything, these games are always close, as you say arsenal have missed loads and on another day could be ahead in the tie. I still have Chelsea down to win the tournament, them or bayern anyway.

Totally disagree on Chelsea and City. Both were totally outplayed in their respective games. City won't get past Barca now and when Chelsea come up against an elite team I think they too will be put to the sword.

Great result tonight, plus last night's debacle, Chelsea next hopefully.

Would love to see all the English sides out leaving all those advertisers paying top notch for minimal audiences.

The best players in the world do not play in the Premier league but the biggest bunch of greedy cheats do.

About time the over hype bubble of Sky was burst.

Wenger' s total lack of courtesy by again walking off without shaking hands with the victor shows him up to be typical of his players.

Last week there was much criticism of Mario taking the penalty. Well if I had been their Manager I would have been more concerned that when the penalty was taken only one Liverpool player was following up in case of a rebound the rest couldn't be a rsed in fact many weren't even looking if it went in. Once again mardy players putting themselves before the team.

Rant over but I think you get the message I have no time for what football at the so called top level in England has become and before you ask, no I don't want to see the Vale as part of it.

My footie is 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, or 7.45pm midweek occasionally, watching players who on the whole play the game I grew up with.

Arsenal have gone out at this stage for the last 4 seasons.

Sky being outbid by BT Sport for the Champions League may not be a bad thing then?

I fell asleep midway through the fist half. I am genuinely tired but I didn't fall asleep the day before watching MC v BC. I feel W has bought a dud called Ozil and persists with him even though he is not as good as team mates. But also Arsenal started well and then Monaco solved them after about 15 minutes and caused them to lose pace and pass the ball sideways. A really good team would change themselves to regain the momentum. But Arsenal are not that good and I fell asleep.

So players in League One don't bicker or mard is what you seem to be saying? Fair play if you have no interest in the Premiership, that's absolutely your choice. But why is it even worth a rant in that's the case instead of giving your opinion from what seems to be a very high horse?

It was beasty who definitely gave your post a thumbs down, because he still thinks Ozil is the bees knees despite him being absolutely toss for Arsenal in the main, so I give it a thumbs up to level it out. ;)

Beechy I don't watch Prem football because it's infested with cheats, over inflated egos and ridiculous salaries.

I do believe league 1 football is more honest a game. Although I hate the phrase "win a penalty"

I am not coming from a high horse just an owd un that believes that money is the root of all evil where footie is concerned both on and off the pitch.

Some clubs have sold their soul in the pursuit of getting money to buy success.

Once upon a time it was a man's game played for the working man and it's my own personal opinion that the money generated by Sky is ruining the game we brought to the world.

But there are cheats in every league, and players with inflated ego's even if they have less money than their Premiership counterparts. I'm sorry but I don't believe for one moment you or anyone else would be disappointed or even gutted should Vale ever get into our top league. It would be like a boxer saying that he has no ambition at all to become champion of the world at whatever weight he was at just because of the money and all of the other territory that comes with it.
