It's been less than a week and I'm already ****ing sick of people saying that we have no chance now that Pope is injured.

 

Pope's a good player but he is far from indispensable. We can function perfectly fine without him (didn't we win 3-0 away at Crawley last year without him with Ben and Hugill up front?)

 

Have some faith in Williamson, N'Guessan, Slew, Campion and Harry and stop licking Pope's backside.

Hoping for a good result today but with some trepidation. Last season those who went anticipating a result following Colchester's 6-1 thrashing at home by Peterborough were bitterly disappointed as a result of poor team selection, tactics and motivation by Micky. We lost 1-0 and RP will need to show that he's learned a thing or two from last year. The same selection as the second half in the Orient game would be a start.

 

We will really have to be up for this one. Colchester are improving fast under their new manager and Freddie Sears is coming into goalscoring form. We can do it but we need to be on our mettle. C'mon the Vale!

i don't get all the negativity, were playing colchester f f s.

some good options up front, a good pairing in lines and o'connor in the middle and im genuinely excited by the prospect of streete..here's hoping we can extend his stay til at least jan!

Smurf has said him and greenidge are for the future, both will be signed in January and then loaned out apparently. So I doubt we will see him for a while.

That's what I thought but smurf said on twitter he's one for next season and on that ask the chairman thread. I don't see any problem in sticking him on the bench personally, give him ago he might be good enough now. Especially over slew

The 11 starters I would have preferred. Keep a clean sheet should be the first priority. A goal or two would be lovely but it's important that we try to gain some momentum away from VP.
