Will some Crewe fans get off their high horses?

I'm sure the majority of Crewe fans are decent and loyal supporters, just like the majority of Vale fans and indeed most football fans.

But there are a proportion who take every opportunity to have a pop at Vale - whether it's Tom Pope's conviction for "affray" years ago or the signing of Lee Hughes, they never fail to denigrate Vale and make out that Crewe is some sort of morally enlightened place where their team would never do any wrong.

So, I wonder if, after roundly condemning Pope, Hughes etc they will now be applying the same level of condemnation to Ryan Colclough if he is convicted of "actual bodily harm; racially aggravated assault by beating; and racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress"?

Still making points about Vale's finances despite their own financial troubles becoming rather evident!

I've seen those. Bless 'em, they do seem to struggle to comprehend that we have different boards in place when we went into administration and that financial fair play means we technically cannot "overspend" on players. If we are spending more than we bring in through the gate then it is Smurf himself who is funding it - so only he, not the club, would be out of pocket.

If we are bringing in more players than them perhaps it's better to look at why their own club has such a low budget (I'd be asking that board some strong questions about where the money has gone) rather than accusing Vale of overspending.

I do have a lot of respect for the majority of Crewe fans and I admire the amazing work that Dario Gradi did there. However, there does seem to be some who appear to care more about badmouthing the Vale than addressing their own problems. At least a lot of Vale fans had the guts to stand up to a board that was misappropriating money and force them out... :whistling:

In answer to the question, no they won't. There's a severe case of superiority complex with Crewe fans. Still making points about Vale's finances despite their own financial troubles becoming rather evident!

It amuses me especially as they have this amazing academy with a conveyor-belt of young talent being churned out and sold on constantly but yet they're still skint- and no one wonders why! I bet the standard on the directors car park improves with every Nick Powell they sell
