I'd agree with that as he was doing it at a much higher level and was also assisting more greatly.

For Moore to be better he has to beat JMW's stats at exactly the same level.

He hasn't really. Not unless he takes penalties. Yes they still have to score, but it's not a fair comparison. What if he creates chances but doesn't touch the ball last before the player scores. Does that make him inferior? I want him to play well and for the team to win. There are lots of aspects of a game that aren't included in your stats. If he doesn't track back and as a result we lose a load of games, then does it not matter? You seem to want Moore to not be as good as JMW?

Not at all, we all want a successful side. I just don't see how people are saying he's a better bet than JMW after the two seasons he's had. Vastly underrated in my eyes was JMW.

Attacking players will always be judged on end product, it's the nature of the game.

A penalty is no less a goal than a 40 yard screamer. We've had some woeful penalty takers in recent years and two superb ones. Hopefully Lines will make it a trio :)

I work in an organisation that is obsessed with stats. I'm constantly told that the 'stats' say I'm ****, but I can easily show that I am great using the same data. Stats are nonsense. It's a team game. The only thing that matters is where we finish at the end of the season.
To me the point of stats is to highlight change in what is being measured, it is also important that the measurements are related and meaningful. Football is simpler than large businesses, if a player's passing rate changes that can be studied, but more complicated is to compare to other players passing rates, other atributes may be more important. Thus without an expert observer or analysist stats can be misused. Total goals for and against are useful, but only individual scores make points.

I think that Smurf needs to experiment with the walk-up price. Walsall is a very good opening fixture, and Notts County and Chesterfield are also not bad, yet I'm not convinced that people will pay £25/£26 on the day or book in advance. I also think the Flex10 price is too high.

In my opinion, £20 is a barrier that makes people think twice about going. Might it be better to drop the price to somewhere between £15-18 and see what happens? Because it is not just about the turnstile money, it's also about what people buy while in the ground.

Good post . A few signings isnt going to suddenly spark the "missing" 1500 to cough up whats , Lets face it is a totally unrealistic price . Smurfs misjudged the extent of loyalty ,anyone who hasnt purchased by now aint going to so live with it.

You really do have an inflated opinion of your self worth. Please put me on Ignore.

Coming from you I take that as a compliment. You don't and never will know me thankfully so you can't say what I'm worth / what I'm not.

Stick to criticising the chairman and everything else about the club, at least you can claim to know about that.

Statistics are a key fundamental in football :)

Far better for the club if crowd growth is pay on a per match basis.

Couldn't agree more,Jeno's goals and assists will take some replacing.
