Not overly inspiring but we do need a reserve left back to replace Dickinson whenever he's suspended!! I suppose finances dictate we look to lower leagues for back up players

 

Doesn't sound like his primary position is left back but I maybe wrong.

 

This is from wiki "He mostly operates on the left side of midfield or as a winger, but has also played at left full-back or wing-back, and as a forward."

Yeah he did :). apparently he made 14 appearances and scored once for them on his wiki. and he used to play for macclesfield town as well. 117 appearances and 13 goals for them.

I personally never take much notice of what fans of their former club say about a new signing. There's quite a bit of blinkered and (often) bitter comments. I remember Darlington fans told us Akpo Sodje was rubbish, Wycombe fans didn't rate Billy Knott and so on...

 

We've also had plenty of players that no-one has really heard of do well for us - McPhee and Bridge-Wilkinson to name just two - so I'm also not that concerned that he isn't a "big-name" signing.

 

Sometimes a player who was rubbish/not rated at one club can be a star at another, so I'd just hope judgement is reserved until Colin actually pulls on a Vale shirt.

Not really, as at the time it was the ONLY post I could find. Amazing that people then think this is somehow my view.....

 

On the thread I linked to (which was started after my original post), there seems to be a more balanced view. Some good, some not so.

 

Time will tell. I know nothing of the player so I trust in Adams' judgement.
