Sir Tom Finney - Note to Crewe fans.

If your pa was audible in the away end they may have had a clue what was going on. Sadly it was about as much use as your team on Saturday.

Agreed the PA is terrible.... But with all the players circling the centre spot and applauding do you really need a minutes silence or a minutes applause explaining or to be respected even if you don't know who it is for?

Exactly and it didn't stop the majority of Spewe fans joining in.I presume the Spewe youth have never heard of Tom Finney.Probably still drooling over some seventeen year old that has long since gone.

I don't know what the protocol on the streets of Crewe these days but in the Potteries we generally tend to respect the dead.

Mind you, we should have expected it after what your lot were singing during your home game with Bradford.

Since league games had been played after his death it wasn't obvious at all.

Not at Vale Park.

Does this mean that after all famous players deaths we will have 2 weeks of tributes?

2 weeks? I thought you lot had enough fingers and toes to be able to count up to 8 days.

Agreed it was obvious there was some applause for someone, just not who.

So it was clear there was a period of respect being shown for someone but your lot didn't respect it. Fine, that's what the original poster said. Remind us to get everyone to sing naughty songs if you do the same when Dario pops his clogs!

Thanks for confirming why you have the word 'Barmy' in your username.
