Football league clubs consulted on standing.

I wonder how much it would cost to convert the two centre blocks at the back of the Bycars in to 'safe standing' zones? Clubs are talking about trailing it in specific areas of the ground and to me this would be the ideal location. Maybe something the supports club could get involved in and help to find raise. I would certainly get a ticket for there.

Standing will set the game back to the bad days of the 1970's and the yobo culture that used to frequent games - "you'll never take the Boothan" and all that. It put off women attending and made it difficult to take children who could not see and could not be kept safe. Now I know that Port Vale is possibly a ground where attendances could be manageable, but people who have been in big and full stadiums when standing will know that safety was a good deal worse than is the case now with seating in more modern arenas.
