This seasons success proves what great signings Micky added to the squad in the summer. Lines, Robertson and Dicko have all been solid, quality additions, but unfortunately they're only on 12 month deals I think, and their intention to stay any longer will depend on the ambition of the club and whether Adams will be in charge after May.

The club can only move forward with bigger gates/more income or selling players after we have improved their profile, like Earle,Taylor etc in recent times. Hoping for a good cup run so we can keep our key players.

It's affording to offer players long contracts (and their willingness to sign them) to ensure we do benefit when they move on that will be the problem.

 

We need to be shrewd and where we see an opportunity to improve we should take it. It does worry me that were just going to sit back in January and hope for the best. I sincerely hope we do get lucky with injuries this season so that we can do that .

The biggest problem is who would sign a contract extension without having assurances of who the manger will be come August. I would imagine most are using us as a stepping stone but if, as it has been reported, that these guy's only signed because of Mikey thenn norman needs to sort out his his contract 1st.

One minute people are saying he's useless, then a couple of games later, he's the best thing since Ray Walker. The key thing is, how many of his passes lead to goals.

In the unlikely event of our promotion, I can't think of many of the current squad who'd be up to the job.
