Whats a valid source?... The sentinel? which everyone including yourself thinks is cack... Smurf? would he tell you?

If there was a valid source it wouldnt be a rumour it would be a fact because the only valid source is the people who know.

 

To be honest I wouldn't trust the Sentinel, everyone is right it seems, it is cack! ;)

 

A valid source would be a known name within the club where the information could be verified back to its source..... not 'I know someone who I can't name said...'

I have always noticed he looks happier on TV. Thought at first it might be the spotlight and his disdain for local reporters, but it may just be because seeing his face changes the context of his voice and what he says. I'd like to think so.

As for rudgie, I'd love to have him back in some role. Not CEO, but definitely a wealth of experience and contacts that could be tapped.

Even a known name isnt reliable unless he/she actually knows, like most rumours people know a little, hear a little and assume the rest, whether thats a known name or not, even if it comes from the horses mouth it doesnt make it 100% true.

He has the same disdain for Daily Mail reporters too, and possibly for all non football people who try to be clever at his or his team`s expense. Lets face it they were only there, last night, to see Vale lose or have a fright.

I'd jump at the chance to tap into Rudge's vast knowledge of the game in any capacity.

 

The only thing to handle sensitively would be the appointment of effectively a director of football over Micky's head, and how he might react to that.

I should have put it like that too! :)

 

I also think if people named names it would be easier to trace back to the origin of the story. If they don't name names it is for me clear something is trying to be hidden for a reason, normally the obvious.

Yes as with that I can judge and others can judge for themselves the credibility of the information.

 

Its particularly necessary on here given the amount of people who fantasise on a regular basis.
