That was said so many times when mold were in charge some actually believed it.

 

I thought immediately that when I saw the initial post however Smurthwaite has more than put his money where his mouth is, indeed considerably (massive understatement) more in 1 year than the idiots did in 10.

 

Comparing / likening them is akin to likening Blackpool as a holiday destination to Australasia ;)

I agree there is very little comparison...

As an aside have you been to Pattaya?... all it needs is a tower. ;)

The UN has welcomed the peace talks held in Burslem and is glad to see that both parties have agreed to put their differences behind them and move forward for the benefit of the club

 

The following statement was issued:

 

"We were ready to send in lots of soldiers wearing those funny blue helmets to patrol the streets of Burslem and to keep the peace but we are pleased that will not be necessary. However, UN forces remain on high alert and ready to step in at short notice and are camped in Stoke where they are sure they can be of use anyway.

 

We understand that the two factions involved hold deep beliefs and respect them and also that each has some very powerful backers; the Sentinel is backed by (not so) secret paper and ink runs from the US govt and NS is backed by a large Chinese confectionary manufacturer.

 

As a precautionary measure Ban Ki-moon Secretary General of the UN will be renting a room in The George for the next few weeks and holding regular briefings in the function room of The Leopard. To help him settle in can anyone recommend a good Chinese take away in the Burslem area?"

To quote the chairman in his interview on Radio Stoke this morning - "There are no winners and losers in this". Why can't you accept what he says? I'm not asking you to toe any party line, I'm asking you to let this go in the same way the chairman has.

 

Oh so our chairman is now no longer a liar and you are happy to believe what he says?

 

What a difference a few days makes.

Ever thought that it could be something to do with most have been saying there are no winners and losers.Even when both parties were in full flow?
