What of the other out of contract players that were offered new deals? Were they on reduced terms as well?

 

It is clear now that V2001 are getting short of money, if they expect one of our better and more experienced players to take a pay cut to play for a club going nowhere but downhill.

 

Agreed the board are so short of cash, despite how many S/T they have sold that they are insulting players with paltry wage offers. They will sell any player, even our better ones in order to pay the loan debts that they have built up and put the club near to administration .

 

If another club wants Collins the board will sell him for peanuts so that they can cling on to survival.

 

The board are a right shower of business looney's.

Suttons not done to bad when hes come in but Owen adds far more to the team as a leader and should have been captain this year.

 

I hope its just Owen trying to add pressure on the board to leave and will try and hold out of signing for anyone else until the Egm. I know thats a risky business for him but surely he can see there more prospect for success under Mo when he comes, in than at Crewe who sees finishing out side the play offs and finishing above us on goal difference a good season for them... Im not even going to mention Burton as I dont believe they have a chance of getting him he might as well start playing rugby if he wants to play for them

I second that. One of the only genuine professionals at the club. I truly believe he wants to play at a well-structured club, rather than for the team that pays him the most money.
