He's looking to move because a club in the **** financially with no ambition has offered him reduced terms on a new contract.

 

And it wouldn't be sideways, it would be backward.

 

I'd be surprised if Crewe had offered more. I doubt ambition had anything to do with his decision to move there.

Can't believe people on here are giving Owen grief? He's a lower league defender, it's not like he's Rooney rejecting £150k and accepting £200k, these guys aren't on huge sums of money and if he can get a 3/4 year deal with Burton/Crewe on the same money then it gives him the financial security we all crave.

 

Whether he's a world beater or not he's given loyal service, he's not thrown his toys out of the pram or anything he's just after the best offer he can get for him and his family.

 

I despair sometimes.................

 

Because TP - if I might sum up - "anyone who either leaves or wants to leave Vale is beyond the pale and was/is **** anyway"...it is pathetic.

I think Gaz Owen was itching to condemn the current board. Would have been interesting if he had been asked a more direct question regarding the ownership. Disappointing to see him go, but this and the Mickey Adams situation all pales into insignificance compared to June 1st. Thats going to determine the whole future of the club. For me everything else at this time is a side issue.

Welcome to Season 2011/2012 under V2001 gents. We've lost one of our best players to a club who's support longs to copy that of Accrington Stanley, who's ground is like some Subbeto abortion put together by a four year old with OCD and a wonky eye, and a manager who thinks the first team is a hindrance of the youth team.

 

I'm actually struggling to think of a way Vale could sink any lower.

 

We could be them. There is always a bright side.
