It'll take something to beat Grantham away in 75-76......as anyone who went will remember.

 

Ah yes, I was one of the many on the pitch! .......:yes:

 

Me memory's going, I recall hundreds off us Vale fans surrounding the ref and linesman as they discussed if they should allow a Vale goal or not!?.....:laugh:

Anybody remember Arnold away freezing cold afternoon and housed in a tempory stand made of scaffolding....0-0 away beat them 5-0 in the replay
sure can, went on train to Nottingham and forest fans turned up for a brawl. I've got a horrible feeling we will draw Luton away as they should beat Woking

Scarborough were also non-league when they beat us about 10 years ago.

 

I had a feeling they were, but what a grim day that was.

 

I was fuming all the way home...not made any better listening to David Mellor "chat about footy" on the 606 show!

 

Legend has it the Vale players were out on the ale round Scarborough the night before that match.

 

Judging from the showing that day, I'd have said they were on it til about 10 minutes before kick-off.
