Tues 22nd October 2013, Crawley Town v Port Vale, Pre Match, the Game itself

Noticed that Crawley have already beaten Peterborough 2-0 away earlier on in the season. A draw would be a decent result for the Vale so fingers crossed we do get something out of the game.

Seems that way to me too; a win would be grand, but a draw wouldn't irritate me.

That would be great if they did, but history says that they don't, and there lies the problem.

I would go with his team too in that 4-3-3 formation but it relies heavily on Mo and JMW producing good displays as they are key.

You are right this is an area where we have failed this season, particularly Mo so if selected they both need big performances if we are yo get a positive result.

JMW hasn't cut it this season for me, so while my preference is for wingers, I don't think we have the personell fit for this. I think we did a fair bit of attacking with the team set out for Peterborough. Griff and Dickinson grafted enough to give Loft licence to go out wide and Lines had the freedom to cause all sorts of problems. On paper it looked negative, but I don't think we were.

Left back's an issue I suppose but choose between Duffy and Yates as the two full backs or Dickinson and Yates with say duffy holding midfield.

I really want us to play with 2 wingers, attack the opposition. The problem is our wingers are not good enough, very risky playing them both. Would stick to loft who's looked good on the left and then probably shuker on the right, feel we need to be sensible tonight otherwise we could get hammered, with JMW and mo on the pitch I think that could happen.

Crikey, I didn't see that team selection coming. Fair play to Adams on that. Initially I was thinking Hughes instead of Willo, but given we only played on Saturday, I imagine Hughes needs the break. Let's hope the players given the chance repay the managers faith in picking them.

Brave move. I've no idea what type if player Hugill is. Is he a out and out striker who will play on the defenders shoulder, or more a number 10 who will drop deep?

More of a hold up striker in the Pope mould from what I saw in pre-season. It's a risk as by the sounds of things he struggled starting games and completing them for Gateshead where his best asset was scoring from the bench, will be interesting to see.

Hope it pays off for him, for us and for Micky for the faith he has in him. If it does work out it will be great to Micky giving more younger players a chance.

Built like a number 9, bit of a poacher, based on watching him at Harborough, pre-season hat-trick.
