If everybody is fit a ready I would go with a variation of 4-3-3 as follows:

Duffy/Yates (toss up between them).

Robertson

Dickinson

Jones

 

Griff (holding)

Loft (holding)

Lines (Free role)

 

JMW (RW)

Tomlin (LW)

Pope

 

Keeps us solid but also a threat going forwards.

 

I'd go with that, especially as Brentford seem to be playing 4-3-3 with two quick forwards (Grigg and McAleny, the Everton loanee) alongside Clayton Donaldson. Last night they beat a strong Cardiff side 3-2, coming from 2 goals down, with that formation. Not sure though that Micky would agree - if they're fit, I think he'll stick with Chilvers and Hughes. We'll see!

Sorry I really disagree. Dickinson is going to be one of the first names on the team sheet - Week in, Week out. We're not paying him the reported wages we are doing for him to sit on the bench now are we?!

Playing Sheffield utd we had boom and McDonald as centre backs and nearly got a result. Robertson with dicko is a massive improvement on them.

Hello vale fans really excited about the game saturday .Having read comments on here feel some of you are giving us too much credit last year we found it difficult away and may find it the same this season .

also looking at teams in previous years promoted from division 2 a lot have done very well I believe you will more than hold your own I would take a draw now 2-2 anyway enjoy the game saturday.

He played in the prem not long ago. One of the definite to start.

I'd start with Pope and Tomlin, both have been linking up well together.
