Thanks Stuart. It's true though. It's only at really bad times like this that we realise just how many lovely people we have on OVF. We may disagree with each other re football or even life in general but everyone comes together to share something like this. It's just heart warming to see so many lovely comments.

So glad I managed to have a lovely conversation with Pete and Lisa at the castle town friendly he had a child on his shoulders and as my wife spoke to Lisa about the new addition me and Pete spoke about vale (what else) I didnt realize it would be the last time I saw him but its given me a lasting good memory R.i.p

I can't say that I knew Pete but this is tragic news and I wish his family well in these times of despair. He will be missed and remembered by everyone at VALE and OVF

It was quite moving to meet his father and sister yesterday in the Bull's Head. I couldn't stop ****** staring at his sister though, Christ, she looks exactly like him. That was strangely comforting. What a lovely family. This is still just too surreal.

 

She dunner know it yet but when we play Brentford we're all crashing at his sister's as she lives near to Griffin Park, in memory of Pete. It's what he'd have done! We'll have her drunkenly chanting Super Vale Ole in the boozers with us and everything!!
