Why do you have to be mad? Do you see Manchester United doing absolutely anything they possibly can to re-sign David Beckham or Ruud van Nistlerooy - who were both fantastic for them? Think before you speak.

Why did Pilikington leave on a free in the first place? He was always one of our best and most consistant players when we were in league 1. Probably we couldn't afford his wages? Still only 29 I think, but if we couldn't afford his wages then....

I didn't speak to him personally, as I was off, but he brought a car from our place for his mrs last Friday (Volkswagen Golf Plus). The lad who handed the car over got in conversation and he said that the Vale were happy days for him and he has some very good memories. Definately one of the best players we have had in a good while.

Slightly off-topic but George received two Luton Supporters' Club awards last night. The article doesn't say which ones he got only that:

EXPERIENCED Hatters stars Mark Tyler and George Pilkington stole the show at Luton Town Supporters Club’s awards night at Vauxhall Recreation Club’s Riverside Suite on Sunday night, writes Mark Wood.

Both grabbed two awards, while Jake Howells, Matthew Barnes-Homer, Dan Walker and Alex Lacey also netted gongs.

For the full story see the Luton News / Dunstable Gazette.

I THINK based on something i read on another site it was player of the year for george, but i may well be wrong.

Personally thought he was more suited to play right back than centre half. I expected Luton to bounce straight back up. Not that easy, even for a club with their support. I really fear we could end up in the BSP if the current board remain.
