Seems like he's had a really good season and been offered a new contract at Luton, would any one fancy him if we ended up with some money one way or another by the end of the season. Used to love him when he was at Vale, he's solid, experienced, scores goals and local!!

Bit like Peter Clarke (both from Everton I think).

If they had a tad more pace, maybe height in the modern Premier League they would be top class level players.

I think he would be a quality signing, especially as Owen looks to be on his way. Although we are Vale and as things stand, we do not pay for players.

George was a good player for us and would be a decent signing. He is as good if not better than anyone we have got at present. I dont see why this wouldnt be a good idea just because he has played for us before. I personally would not have let him go in the first place.

I would have him back tomorow, looks to me like Owen will be on his way so ideal replacement......however given the current circus that is port vale if i were him i would steer well clear until the board/manager situation is resolved

If Ricco is the highest wage on 2k a week or 100k then Owen is on less and they are now offering even less money to Owen.... .so if Pilko is on 125k in non-league we couldn't afford........if we can't afford Owen and we certainly can't afford Pilkington.

Owen will be on far more money at Crewe and rumour has it Loft has signed a pre-contract agreement with Shrewsbury......Fraser left for a longer deal at Barnet..........even Vale fan Yates is thinking hard about signing which says a lot about the contracts on offer.

We had a joke size squad last season and ended the season with just 17 senior players.....V2001 can't afford league football.

Exactly this. Why do our fans insist on bringing back old players/staff?

 

There's only one exception to that, and i'd have Akpo Sodje back now.
